Free Range Chicken
BSK Free Range Chicken started in 2023. Our idea was to produce our own chickens for household use because we wanted a no hormone, quality product for our family. This idea resonated with family and friends and it grew from there. Today, we want to produce a high quality product for other families too.
Where we started
We started with chicks in round containers where after two weeks they went into their outdoor camps. Due to the increase in volumes, this was not viable anymore and we built a free range chicken coop. This coup is divided into camps where the chickens have access to the outdoors, but are protected from the elements indoors.

We have one earth
We have one world, and we are trying to produce a quality product whilst improving our natural environment. We make use of solar lighting, thermodynamic cooling and heating systems, and other natural practices. We try and keep our wastage to a minimum. Our manure from the coops gets re-used as fertilizer on the farm - this increases the soil quality and increases grazing for the other animals.

We strive to have a positive impact on nature so that we can leave the natural environment in a better state than we found it.

Our Products
Our chickens are reared in a free range system where they roam freely and they get certified free range feed absent from any antibiotics and growth promoters.
Our entire processing process happens on the farm. Thus, the birds don't get transported long distances, and in high volumes, keeping their stress levels low.
Our animals are treated with the highest respect.
Our products are absent of brine or any other chemicals, so the chicken you get is just that - chicken.

Quality is very important to us - this is why we hand trim and self package every product. From day-old until delivery, we take care of every step.
